Learn To Meditate Weekend Retreat
Suitable for beginners, our relaxing Learn To Meditate Weekend Retreats give an inspiring introduction to the practice of meditation. Through gentle guidance you will learn simple techniques to create space in the mind, find inner peace, and keep a good heart in daily life.
Topics covered include what is meditation, the benefits of meditation, tips for success in meditation, and how to start a daily meditation practice. The course will consist of practical instructions, peaceful meditations, and advice on how to use meditation in everyday situations so that we can maintain a positive mind during the day.
The retreat venue
The environment of Bodhisattva KMC is very relaxing and there is plenty of time between retreat sessions to enjoy our café, to meet and chat with other retreaters and the community of Bodhisattva KMC, and to enjoy walking and gentle strolls along the Brighton and Hove sea front and promenade. The peaceful surroundings of Bodhisattva KMC help people to create a comfortable space within their own minds.
The retreat schedule
The retreat will begin Friday 10th February in the evening at 7.30 pm with an introduction and conclude on Sunday 12th February at 2.00pm (after lunch). The retreat session times will be as follows:
Friday:
7.30 – 8.30 pm : Introduction
Saturday:
9.30 – 10.30 am : Meditation session
11.30 am – 12.30 pm : Meditation session
(Lunch 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm)
4.00 – 5.00 pm : Meditation session
7.30 – 8.30 pm : Question and Answer
Sunday:
9.30 am – 10.30 am : Meditation session
11.30 am – 12.30 pm : Meditation session
(Lunch 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm)
