Teachers

Gen Kelsang Dornying has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism for more than 20 years, and has taught all over the world. He is an inspiring and light-hearted teacher of modern Buddhism who makes Buddha’s teachings clear, accessible and applicable to everyone’s daily life.

Gen Kelsang Jigme is the Resident Teacher of Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre. Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.

Weekend Course | June 21-23

with Gen Kelsang Jigme & Guest Teacher Gen Kelsang Dornying

The famous diagram of the Wheel of Life was designed by Buddha himself 2600 years ago as a gift for a king’s friend who had everything but the wisdom to find true inner peace.  It depicts the cycle of contaminated life, the chain of cause and effect that keeps us bound to life after life of suffering.  By deeply contemplating its meaning we will understand the real causes of happiness and suffering and how, by practising the spiritual path, we can enter the path to liberation and destroy the cycle of suffering once and for all.
This special weekend course will be taught by special guest Gen Kelsang Dornying, resident teacher at KMC Leeds, and our own resident teacher Gen Kelsang Jigme.  Both teachers have studied and practised under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s guidance for many years and bring a wealth of experience, wisdom and humour to their teachings.  This will be a fantastic weekend – don’t miss it!

Everybody welcome!
