Urban Retreat

OM AH HUM

Saturday 30th January

This is a very special opportunity to experience the deep inner peace that comes from a concentrated mind.

Life can be hectic and overwhelming; it’s easy to be “on” all the time without ever taking the time to be quiet and enjoy a simple day of rest and recharging. On Saturday, there is a wonderful opportunity to take a break and enjoy a day of silence, meditation, rest and reflection. This retreat will include guided meditations on the breath using the very simple yet profound mantra; OM AH HUM, the mantra of all Buddhas. Kelsang Drolkar will guide 4 short meditation sessions to help lead the mind to a state of deep concentration and peace. There will be short breaks to go for a walk, read and contemplate in silence.

To get the most out of this retreat you might want to have a day or morning of silence. You might like to keep your phone, TV, computer, radio etc switched off (apart from to join the meditations on zoom!) so that you can really let go of distractions and focus on the teachings and meditations.

TEACHER

Kelsang Drolkar is a Kadampa nun and our Education Programme Co-ordinator.

She has done many meditation retreats and presents the teachings in a very practical and clear way.
