Empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa
& Teachings on Faith in Guru Tsongkhapa and the Blessed Practice of the Migtsema Request Prayer
with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong
During the Fall Festival 2026, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will grant the empowerment of the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa. She will also explain how to develop and improve our faith in our Spiritual Guide seen as one with Je Tsongkhapa, and on the practice of Migtsema, the special mantra and prayer of praise and request to Je Tsongkhapa.
This prayer is very blessed because it was originally uttered by Buddha Manjushri, and comes from Manjushri’s Emanation Scripture, which he transmitted directly to Je Tsongkhapa. Many of Je Tsongkhapa’s followers attained very high realizations through the practice of Migtsema combined with the Guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa. The Migtsema practice is the best method for increasing our faith in Je Tsongkhapa and his teachings, and if we practise Je Tsongkhapa’s teachings sincerely with faith, we can attain enlightenment quickly and easily.
Teacher
Gen-la Dekyong is a retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union and teaches extensively internationally. Gen-la studied and practiced for many years with her Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and is his close disciple. She is deeply respected and treasured throughout the Kadampa world for her sincere reliance on her Spiritual Guide, taking his teachings to heart and putting them into practice in every aspect of her life. She is recognized as a fully qualified Teacher of Sutra and Tantra.
