The Yoga of Buddha Heruka – Online retreat with Gen Kelsang Thekchen

    Friday 22nd Jan  – Wednesday, 27th Jan

Heruka is an enlightened Deity of Highest Yoga Tantra who is the manifestation of the compassion of all the Buddhas. In particular, engaging in the practice of Heruka body mandala, according to the instructions of the Ganden Oral Lineage of Je Tsongkhapa, is the supreme quick path to enlightenment. Following these precious instructions, we should practice Heruka body mandala in conjunction with the ritual prayer called The Yoga of Buddha Heruka. This practice is simple but very profound.
Gen Thekchen will give commentary and guide mediations on this condensed Heruka practice based on Venerable Gesehe Kelsang Gyatso’s instructions in Modern Buddhism.

    TEACHER

Our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Thekchen, is a senior meditation teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition.

Gen Thekchen has been practising and teaching Buddhist meditation for over 25 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He is well known for his ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a simple, practical and often humorous way, making them easy to put into practice in everyday life.
