What is Happiness

– and how do I get it?

with Steve Cansdale

Tuesday Evenings 7-8pm

Upcoming class dates:

April 14th, 21st, 28th (No Class 7th)

“What is pure happiness? Pure happiness is happiness that comes from a peaceful mind.  The happiness that comes from worldly enjoyments such as eating, drinking, sex and relaxing is not pure or real happiness.  It is changing suffering, or just a reduction of our previous suffering.  Through training we can develop and maintain peace of mind all the time, so that we can be happy all the time.”

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

This short course is an exploration of happiness: what it is and what it’s not; what causes it (and what really doesn’t!), and how we can all develop true, lasting happiness by following the spiritual path.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time.  No previous experience with meditation is necessary.  You don’t need to bring anything with you, and the meditation is conducted on chairs (there are also cushions available if you prefer).

Everyone is welcome.
