Gen Kelsang Jigme is the Resident Teacher at Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre. Ordained as a Buddhist monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Gen Jigme has studied, practised, and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. Gen Jigme shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in daily life.

Evening classes with Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Jigme exploring the practice of the Six Perfections – the altruistic path of inner development that leads to the supreme happiness of Enlightenment in order to benefit all living beings. Gen Jigme will spend around four weeks on each of the Perfections, drawing from Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life by the great Buddhist master Shantideva that explains how to integrate these profound and joyful practices into every aspect of our lives. We will learn how, even in these dark and challenging times, we can give our lives great meaning and purpose and truly become a friend to the whole world.
