Main teacher of the centre

Gen Kelsang Jigme is the Resident Teacher at Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre.

Ordained as a Buddhist monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Gen Jigme has studied, practised, and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. Gen Jigme shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in daily life.

Steve

Steve Cansdale has been a dedicated, well respected and much loved teacher at Bodhisattva KMC for many years.  Steve is well known for delivering his teachings in an inspirational, understandable and deeply practical style.  He is a wonderful example of a modern-day Bodhisattva, a friend of the world.

Bertie Wilkins is a popular and highly experienced teacher. As a well-known local entrepreneur, Bertie has a wealth of practical experience of applying Buddha’s teachings to difficult situations, which he brings to his teachings – showing how anyone can keep a happy mind in our stressful modern world

Joanna

Joanna Sancha shares a wealth of practical experience of meditation with her students.  Known for presenting Buddha’s teachings in a clear and practical way, Joanna’s classes provide a skillful insight into how Buddhist wisdom can be applied to benefit those with busy lives in a stressful world.

Asa

Asa Bennett is an experienced and popular meditation teacher and a very highly regarded, award-winning music producer.  Asa shows a great example of how a modern Kadampa practitioner integrates meditation with a busy working life and his teachings draw from his personal practice.

Lance Haswell is a much-loved teacher. As an entrepreneur and business owner, Lance shows a great example for those with extremely busy lives of how to put modern Buddhism into practice skilfully  His teachings are filled with practical, inspiring and accessible advice to benefit everyday life.

Gen Kelsang Drolkar is a joyful and dedicated Kadampa Buddhist practitioner who has been teaching since 2013. Known for her warmth and genuine enthusiasm, Gen Drolkar presents Buddha’s teachings in a practical, accessible way, drawing on her wide-ranging experience to help people integrate meditation and Buddhist wisdom into the challenges of everyday life.

Vince Bassett is a popular teacher with extensive experience gained over many years of sincere practice.  He is well-known for his inspirational classes and courses.  He has lived and volunteered at Bodhisattva KMC for over 10 years.  Vince embodies what it means to be a modern Buddhist.

Dave Vise has been studying and practising Buddha’s teachings for many years. As a sincere student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Dave shows a naturally caring example of practice in his daily life.  He shares his vast practical experience in an accessible, down-to-earth way.

Damien Robert

Damien Robert has established a reputation as a kind, wise and compassionate teacher.  A respected professional within the information technology sector, Damien demonstrates and teaches how anyone can integrate meditation practice skilfully into a busy daily work schedule.

Claudia Knights has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years and is currently studying on the Foundation Programme at Bodhisattva KMC. Claudia teaches with clarity and warmth, drawing on her personal experience to help students navigate the challenges of daily life.
