With Gen Kelsang Jigme
Teacher Training Programme (TTP), offers practitioners of Kadampa Buddhism the opportunity to study deeply, gain practical experience of both Sutra and Tantra as well as train to become qualified Dharma teachers.
The Programme consists of a dynamic combination of teachings, meditation and discussion, all of which enable us to go deeper into the layers of meaning within each book that we study. All of this helps us to make real progress along our spiritual path. Each class consists of preliminary prayers, guided meditation and reading from the book with commentary and discussion. All qualified Kadampa teachers follow this in-depth program of study and practice.
The programme involves the study of twelve texts, students are required to observe certain commitments with regard to behaviour and way of life, and an intention to engage regular meditation retreats run at Bodhisattva KMC.
You are welcome to try out two free taster classes but if you wish to join, you need to commit to attending each class.
This will be available in person and in certain circumstances, live streamed.
The book we are currently studying is Ocean of Nectar

Ocean of Nectar by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is the first complete explanation in English of the precious Mahayana scripture Chandrakirti’s Guide to the Middle Way, which is regarded as the principal presentation of Buddha’s profound view of emptiness.
Guide to the Middle Way, the root text of Ocean of Nectar, was translated into English under the compassionate guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. These precious verses are included in the back of Ocean of Nectar. Reading this profound text and listening to the verses by Chandrakirti can bring joyful and uplifting insight into the true nature of all things.
As this programme is not a drop-in class, if you wish to join the Programme after trying the free taster classes, there is a commitment to studying a section of the book.
To join the programme, you need to become a member of Bodhisattva Centre at Supporter or Patron level. Supporter membership is £40 a month and includes access to all our classes, courses and retreats.
