Longer retreats
Take time to go deeper with a week of meditation and spiritual practice
What’s the goal of a one week or longer retreat?
A longer retreat gives us the time and space to become deeply familiar with meditation and put Buddha’s teachings into practice.
Instead of quickly returning to our usual routines, we can spend several days focusing on a particular series of meditations and allowing their meaning to settle more deeply in our mind.
Immerse yourself for a weekend through:
- several meditation sessions each day
- guidance from an experienced Kadampa Buddhist teacher
- time between sessions for contemplation, reading and rest
- a peaceful environment where you can step back from everyday distractions
- the opportunity to develop greater familiarity and confidence in your meditation practice
Sometimes we need more than a few hours or a weekend to step away from distractions and really focus on our inner life.
Our longer meditation retreats give you the opportunity to spend several days, often a full week, developing your meditation practice with greater depth and continuity.
Who are our meditation retreats for?
Meditation retreats are designed for people who want to become familiar with constructive states of mind in order to feel more at peace day to day.
Themes might include relationships (friendships, work, or romantic) • stress and anxiety • expectations and addictions • illness and grief • frustration or even anger…
The meditations and teachings are guided by qualified teachers.
