Mindfulness and Concentration
with Nik James
Many people are interested in mindfulness and meditation, but what exactly is mindfulness? How do we do it, and how does it help us in our daily life?
Mindfulness in meditation, according to Buddhism, means to not forget the object of meditation. It’s our ability both to remember and hold an special feeling or understanding in meditation and bring our mind back to it when it forgets. It is the life force of meditation and induces a deep inner peace that comes from a concentrated mind.
Buddhist meditators have been developing their mindfulness and concentration with simple, powerful meditation techniques for thousands of years – now you can discover these simple techniques and experience the benefits for yourself.
This half day course will be a wonderful preparation for the silent day retreat on March 16
Suitable for both experienced meditators and beginners!
“When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within.”
