A Beautiful free guided meditation on the beach.

Peace on the Beach

Guided meditation at the West Pier

Aug 29th | 11.30am-noon

Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre will once again be offering a free guided meditation session on Brighton Beach. The meeting point will be in front of the West Pier on the Holiday Monday, 29th August at 11.15am and the meditation session will be on the beach itself. There will be a flag at the meeting point displaying a meditators logo.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free session but, in order to help us prepare for the event, you must register first using the booking link above

The guided meditation will lead you on a voyage of exploration of your mind through which you can discover your own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness.  This meditation will help you watch the different thoughts in the mind like waves on the ocean.  By not feeding them or pushing them away, you can learn to let go of them as they dissolve into the peaceful ocean of the mind.

Please bring a cushion or blanket with you if it helps you to sit comfortably.

The event is hosted by Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre.   Our Centre is located in Brighton within two acres of quiet leafy grounds and is a haven of peace in the city. It is open to the public and offers a variety of Buddhist meditation classes, day courses, and weekend meditation retreats that are suitable for beginners and more experienced meditators.

Our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Thekchen, is a senior meditation teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition.  He has been a Buddhist monk and teacher for 20 years, having taught in many Centres in the UK and Canada.  He presents Buddha’s teachings in a practical and often humorous way that enables the listener to easily understand the teachings and put them into practise.

The event is free, but please register for the event by clicking here.
