OCT 1 – Inspiration and Mantra

Course info

Inspiration and Mantra – Day course

with Gen Jigme

Mantra means “mind protection”. It is the supreme method to enhance the qualities of our body and mind. For centuries, mantra recitation has been used to attain a peaceful and happy mind by pacifying the negative thoughts that give rise to our suffering.

On this course, Gen Jigme will explain the meaning of mantra and give instructions on how to combine mantra recitation with breathing meditation. This is a simple and powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and is ultimately the cause of the supreme inner peace of enlightenment.

This will also be a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the January retreat of reciting 100 000 Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka mantras.  This practice was encouraged by Venerable Geshe-la at the International Spring Festival in Spain.  Gen Jigme will explain the power of mantra and inspire us to engage in this special January retreat.

This event is taught by Gen Kelsang Jigme, senior Buddhist Monk and Resident Teacher of Bodhisattva KMC.
