DESCRIPTION:(This retreat can be attended for individual days)\n\nKadampa B
 uddhists worldwide rely upon Dorje Shugden as their Dharma Protector. A Dh
 arma Protector is an emanation of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva whose main fun
 ctions are to avert the inner and outer obstacles that prevent practitione
 rs from gaining spiritual realizations\, and to arrange all the necessary 
 conditions for their practice.\n\nOn this retreat we will emphasise how we
  can rely upon the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden and make swift progress 
 along the spiritual path. The retreat will be based upon the teachings at 
 this year’s NKT Spring Festival 2016 but it is not necessary to have att
 ended this festival to attend this retreat.\n\nThe Teacher\n\nThis retreat
  will be guided by our special guest teacher Gen Samten. He is among Geshe
  Kelsang Gyatso most senior students\, and he taught for many years in the
  UK\, including at Manjushri KMC. By his example and his teachings\, Gen S
 amten shows clearly how experience of meditation brings inner peace. He ha
 s been the Resident Teacher at KMC New York since the autumn of? 2008.\n\n
 &nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe retreat schedule\n\nThe retreat will begin on Fr
 iday evening (3rd June) at 7.30 pm with an introduction and end with lunch
  on Wednesday 8th June at 1.00 pm.\n\nFriday evening (3rd June):\n\n7.15 -
  8.45 pm: Introduction to retreat\n\nSaturday - Tuesday (4th June – 7th

 ransport\n\nFor those who attended the NKT Spring Festival 2016 there will
  be transport available from Manjushri KMC\, the venue of this year’s In
 ternational Spring Festival\, direct to Bodhisattva KMC. The minibus will 
 leave on the last day of the festival from the circle car park at 2:30pm o
 n Wednesday 1st June. To guarantee yourself a place on the mini bus please
  reserve your space in advance through our online booking system. The cost
  of the minibus is £30 per person.\n\nAs the retreat will be starting on 
 the 3rd June (and the NKT Spring Festival ends on the 1st June) there will
  be pre-retreat accommodation available on 1st &amp\; 2nd June at Bodhisat
 tva KMC. This accommodation can be booked through our online booking syste
