Learn to Meditate
Meditation has a plethora of benefits, and no side-effects!
Through the practice of meditation we can quieten the turbulence of our thoughts and feelings, eliminate our negative habits of mind, and cultivate longer and longer periods of peace, which leads to deeper and more stable happiness – happiness that we can easily share freely with others.
On this half-day course we will give an introduction to the practice of Buddhist meditation. Topics covered will include: “What is meditation?”, “The benefits of meditation”, and “How to start a daily meditation practice.”
The course will consist of guided meditations and practical instructions.
Timetable:
10.00 am – 11.15 am : Session 1
11.15 am – 11.45 am : Break
11.45 am – 1 pm : Session 2
About the Teacher:
With many years of experience as a Buddhist teacher, Steve is warm, funny, down to earth, and very easy to relate to. He presents Buddha’s teachings in a practical way, demonstrating how easily we can gain immediate benefit from integrating them into our daily life.
