Detox the Mind

On this weekend course we will be looking at several Buddhist meditation practices that help to eliminate negativity, distractions, bad feelings, and heaviness from within our mind.

In particular we will be learning two profound purification practices.  The first is 35 Confession Buddha practice.  This practice involves prostration and meditation, and is one of the most powerful Buddhist methods for purifying our mind of all negativity. With the prayer booklet,  The Bodhisattva’s Confession of Moral Downfalls, we request these Buddhas to witness our confession and dedication of merit, and we prostrate in their presence.

The second practice is Vajrasattva meditation, the Buddha of purification, through which we can purify and release our mind from all its negativity. Through this practice we will find we will naturally become happier, our mind more flexible, and that our meditation practice in general will become more effective.

On this weekend course we will also discover what causes our negativity, our negative karma, and how to avoid creating negativity through controlling our mind. We will explore subjects like karma, past and future lives, and the course will include traditional Kadampa Buddhist prayers and meditation

This course is also offered as a Saturday only day course.

Following the course, there will be a 5 day Vajrasattva purification retreat.
