Clear Sky Mind
During this weekend retreat we will discover inner peace and happiness through learning meditations on the clarity and emptiness of the mind.
We often feel stuck in painful habits of thought, such as anxiety, depression or feelings of hurt. Because we perceive our mind to be fixed and unchanging we feel trapped in these ordinary and painful emotions. But this seemingly inflexible mind does not correspond to our reality. By experiencing the mind’s actual nature, its emptiness, we understand that our potential for change is limitless, that freedom from unhappiness and indeed Enlightenment is possible, and we initiate a joyful process of profound transformation.
In this course we will emphasize gaining actual experience in meditation on both the conventional and ultimate natures of the mind, and then practically applying this experience to help in every facet of our life. Not only will these insights help us to become more open-hearted, flexible, and skilful in letting go of unhappy feelings and delusions, it will greatly empower even the our most profound practices such as universal love and compassion, Mahamudra and Highest Yoga Tantra.
On Saturday Kelsang Drolkar will be explaining and guiding meditations on the clarity or conventional nature of the mind.
On Sunday Gen Kelsang Thekchen will explain and guide meditations on the ultimate nature of the mind, the emptiness of the mind.
