Meditation and Mental Health
with Susan Tait, Mondays, 7-8.15pm
We all struggle at times with mental health. Whether it’s anxiety, anger, frustration, or simply mental exhaustion, we all go through it at times. Meditation is an effective way to train the mind, to become more peaceful and feel more in control of our emotions. This series will explore a variety of meditations to help improve our mental health and well being.
May 23rd – A meditation for healing ourself
May 30th – A meditation for accepting change
June 6th – A meditation for healing the world
These classes are organized as short courses, covering a wide range of engaging topics.
The classes include 2 guided meditations and a practical teaching on how to apply the ancient wisdom of Buddha’s teachings to busy modern life. Not to be missed!
The classes conclude with the opportunity to discuss the class with the teacher and/or other members of the class. Refreshments are provided.
Teachers
Susan Tait has been studying and teaching Buddhist meditation for many years and has taught Kadampa meditation in the US and the UK. She presents the teachings in a practical and often humorous way making it easy to apply in daily life.
