Steve Cansdale has been studying and teaching Buddhist meditation for many years and presents the teachings in a very practical way.  Steve dedicates his spare time to helping Bodhisattva Centre grow.  He loves to put the instructions into practice in daily life and help others do the same.

  • The Art of Loving Kindness

    Learning to develop a mind of love for others creates within us an inexhaustible source of happiness.  It protects us from the inner problems of anger, jealousy and uncontrolled desire, and by putting loving kindness into practice, we can bring great benefit to others.  This 3 week series will explain how we can develop a good heart and practically help others.

  • 6 habits for a peaceful world

    We all want to be happy and live a meaningful life. One that is beneficial to both ourself and others. Buddha taught us how to keep a good intention to help others in our heart all the time and then how to act on this good intention. He taught 6 main practices we can do to bring happiness to ourself and others.   Three we do in daily life, giving, guarding our mind and patience, two we do in meditation, concentration and wisdom and one we practice to overcome our laziness – joyful effort. This series will explore these 6 habits of happy people in a practical and effective way.

    Nov 2  – Developing the supreme good heart

    Nov 9 – The joy of giving

    Nov 16 – Guarding the mind

    Nov 23 – The art of patient acceptance

    Nov 30 – Overcoming laziness

    Dec 7 – The power of concentration
