School, college and group visits

For many years, Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre has been hosting visits from all types of groups and clubs, school trips, and scouts. We invite you and your group to visit us.

Please take a look at the information below and if interested, request a visit application form from us and return it to us either by post or email, and we will get back to you with a confirmation.

What to expect during your visit

DSC_20661½ hours is spent with a Buddhist teacher. Visits can start from 10am.  There can be several different aspects to your visit with us; it is entirely up to you.  We can explain Buddha’s life story and basic Buddhist beliefs. We can include a simple relaxing meditation, or more structured meditation to develop a positive mind like love.  During your visit you can choose a short refreshment break or on a warm day enjoy your packed lunches (vegetarian please) in our peace garden.  You can choose an option to have time to draw the beautiful statues, or have a Q& A with the teacher.  During your visit you can fill out worksheets you have prepared, or just relax in the gardens.

If you wish, you can specify on the booking form what you would like our teacher to include so it ties in with your students’ classroom studies.

You can make it a complete day out. Or combine the trip with a visit to another spiritual place or educational attraction nearby in Brighton.

We look forward to your visit. The centre is a calming and inspiring environment and loved by everyone who visits.
