The Power of Mantra – a half day course
Mantra means “mind protection”. It is the supreme method to enhance the qualities of our body and mind. For centuries, mantra recitation has been used to attain a peaceful and happy mind by pacifying the negative thoughts that give rise to our suffering.
On this half day course, Gen Lekma will explain the meaning of mantra and instructions on how to combine mantra recitation with breathing meditation will be explained. This is a simple and powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and is ultimately the cause of the supreme inner peace of enlightenment.
Teacher
Gen Kelsang Lekma is the resident teacher of Southampton KMC. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 25 years of experience and she has taught in England and the United States for much of this time.
Her clear and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world.
