During this weekend meditation course Kadam Bridget Heyes, a senior Kadampa Buddhist teacher and close disciple of the renowned Buddhist master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, will give an explanation of the Buddhist way of life and how everyone can apply Buddhist teachings in their modern lives to experience greater fulfilment and happiness. The Buddhist path can be practised by anyone and reveals how, through abandoning negative states of mind, we can find lasting peace and contentment from within and a permanent solution to our daily problems. These teachings are very suitable for those new to Buddhism as well as those who are already familiar with Buddhist teachings.
The weekend will also include the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism in this world. An empowerment is a special Buddhist ceremony of guided meditation and visualisation that uplifts and inspires our mind and connects us with our potential for inner peace and happiness from within.

The Teacher

The Celebration blessing empowerment and teachings will be given by Kadam Bridget Heyes who is a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years. Kadam Bridget is the UK National Spiritual Director of the NKT and the Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre, England.

Accommodation at Bodhisattva Centre and Brighton

Bodhisattva Centre offers a limited amount of comfortable single, twin, dormitory and indoor camping accommodation. These can be booked in advance through our online booking system. If you do not wish to stay at Bodhisattva Centre there is also plenty of local accommodation in Brighton.
