Based on teachings from the Spring Festival at Manjushri KMC, Gen Samten will guide the retreat, integrating Buddha’s profound Heart Sutra teachings with tantric methods. Through training our mind in the wisdom of ultimate truth we can ripen our Buddha nature and attain the inner peace of enlightenment. Everyone is welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend the festival to engage in this retreat.

This retreat can be attended for individual days.

It is an opportunity to deepen our experience of the teachings at the Spring Festival. However, everyone is welcome to attend our retreat; it is not restricted to those who were at Spring Festival.

The environment of Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre is very relaxing, and there is plenty of time between retreat sessions to enjoy our World Peace Café, to meet and chat with other retreatants and the community of Bodhisattva KMC, and to enjoy walking and gentle strolls along the Brighton and Hove sea front and promenade.

The peaceful surroundings of Bodhisattva KMC help people to create a comfortable space within their own minds.

The Retreat Teacher – Gen Kelsang Samten

This retreat will be guided by our special guest teacher Gen Kelsang Samten.  He is among Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s most senior students, and he taught for many years in the UK, including at Manjushri KMC.

Gen Samten is a very experienced meditator and Teacher who can explain profound Dharma very clearly, and guide us to deeper insights and familiarity with these practices.

He has been the Resident Teacher at KMC New York since the autumn of 2008.
