During this course visiting teacher Gen Lhachog we explain how we can use Buddhist teachings on universal compassion to heal our mind of negative emotions and discover how the inner wealth of compassion can bring tremendous meaning and purpose into our lives.

There will be a special emphasis on the well-loved and ancient Buddhist meditation practice of ‘taking and giving’ through which we can increase the power of our mind, develop the strength to bear difficulties with courage, and make our greatest contribution to world peace.

The Teacher of this course

Lhachog2Gen Kelsang Lhachog, is the resident teacher at KMC Manchester. She is an ordained Buddhist nun who has been practising and teaching Buddhism and meditation for over 14 years, living and studying for 8 years at Manjushri KMC, our mother centre in the Lake District. Gen Lhachog teaches through her experience of life which makes Buddha’s teachings so accessible to all. With her warm approach and extensive knowledge of Buddhist teachings, as well as her clear and relaxed manner, she inspires us to practice in our daily lives.
