Course can be booked for Saturday only

According to Buddha, all disease and suffering, mental and physical, are caused by our negative minds. Normally our negative minds can feel deeply ingrained, but through connecting to Medicine Buddha we can experience the pure nature of our mind, and heal ourselves of these inner diseases. Through healing ourself of mental and physical suffering, we will then be able to help heal others.

This empowerment is a beautiful guided meditation, during which we will receive the blessings of Medicine Buddha, the embodiment of all enlightened healing energy.  During the commentary our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chönden, will explain the profound tantric practice, known as self-generation, through which we awaken our own potential to become an enlightened healing Buddha. The empowerment will take place in the morning, followed by commentary in the afternoon. There will then be two guided Medicine Buddha meditations along with further commentary on Sunday morning.

The retreat venue

The environment of Bodhisattva KMC is very relaxing, and there is plenty of time between retreat sessions to enjoy our café, to meet and chat with other retreaters and the community of Bodhisattva KMC, and to enjoy walking and gentle strolls along the Brighton and Hove sea front and promenade. The peaceful surroundings of Bodhisattva KMC help people to create a comfortable space within their own minds.

About the teacher
