The Meditation Retreat

Enjoy a taste of Spanish sunshine and meditative bliss! Join us on a group spiritual holiday to the warm, peaceful, and inspiring setting of Kadampa Meditation Centre Spain, situated close to Malaga. This retreat will be a perfect opportunity for re-balancing your life through rest, reflection, and engaging in meditation retreat. On this retreat we will focus on the blissful meditations of Mahamudra. Mahamudra meditation is a powerful technique to create space in the mind, develop concentration, and find joy and happiness from within. This course is suitable for everyone. The course will be taught by Gen Chodor, Resident Teacher of Bodhisattva KMC, and Gen Wangmo, Resident Teacher of Shantideva Kadampa Buddhist Centre.

The location - KMC Spain

The venue for the retreat is the beautiful Kadampa Meditation Centre Spain, located near Málaga in the heart of sunny Costa del Sol in Southern Spain, the perfect setting for a meditation retreat in the sun. The meditation retreat in Spain is a great way to gain some experience of meditation and learn about Kadampa Buddhism. It is within easy access to the nearby mountainous region of ‘Mountain of the Snows’. With over 300 days of sunshine every year, the KMC is noted for its healthy environment. The entire site is non-smoking.

You can relax and unwind in Café de la Paz, which offers a wide variety of food and snacks, refreshments, as well as exotic and natural teas and coffees. In the coffee shop there is an air-conditioned hall, an open air terrace with views of the garden.

There are a number of comfortable options at KMC Spain including single, twin, double, and triple rooms as well as dormitory accommodation. All rooms are just a few steps away from the large swimming pool which guests can enjoy at their leisure.
